Founded by fishermen in 1973, Trident Seafoods pioneered the concept of vertical integration in the Northwest fishing industry. Today, Trident Seafoods is involved in all stages of catching, processing (both onshore and at-sea) and marketing a wide variety of seafood products. Trident Seafoods owns two catcher/processors, purchased in 1999, that harvest and process Bering Sea pollock and Pacific whiting. Since 1992, Trident has been a Community Development Quota partner with Aleutian Pribiloff Island Community Development Association (APICDA).
